Public vs Private Telegram Links: Which One to Use When Ordering

Most failed Telegram orders have one cause: the wrong link. Services can only deliver to a link they can open, and each service type expects a specific format. This guide shows exactly which Telegram link to use.

The five Telegram link formats

• Public channel or group: t.me/yourchannel. Use it for members and auto views.
• Single public post: t.me/yourchannel/125. Use it for post views, reactions, comments and poll votes.
• Private invite link: t.me/+AbCdEf123. Use it for members in a private channel or group.
• Private post link: t.me/c/1234567890/125. It only works for people already in the channel, so most services cannot use it.
• Bot or mini app: t.me/yourbot or t.me/yourbot?start=ref. Use it for bot starts and referrals.

How to copy the right link

1. Channel link: open the channel info, tap the username and copy the t.me link.
2. Post link: tap and hold a post, choose Copy link. In public channels this gives a t.me/channel/number link.
3. Invite link: open channel settings, then Invite links, and create or copy a link.

Private channels: the approval trap

Invite links can be set to require admin approval. If you order members with such a link, accounts arrive as join requests instead of members, and the order cannot complete. Before ordering, create an invite link with approval turned off, and do not revoke it until the order is finished.

Common link mistakes

• Using a channel link for a post views or reactions service. Use the post link.
• Using a private post link (t.me/c/...) for views. Make the post public or use a public channel.
• Changing the channel username or making the channel private while an order is running.
• Pasting @username instead of the full t.me/username link.
